Multi_Hit_Counter v.1.08

Multi_Hit_Counter is simple PHP script for counting all visitors on different pages.

1. Counting unlimited number of pages
2. Automatically generates new pages in data file
3. Password protected with md5 encryption
4. Uses Flat File (txt file) and does not need MySQL or any other DB

Installation:

Extract MHC108.zip in root folder.
In a new subfolder "counter" find four files: counter.php, data.txt, read_me.htm and GNU License.

Put this script below on your php page...

include $_SERVER["DOCUMENT_ROOT"] . "/counter/counter.php";
?>

... and then open this page in browser. You will get error message, and password box. Press "Submit" button (password is blank) and page is generated. To check if everything is OK press refresh button. Repeat this procedure for all pages where you want to see the counter.

Change password:

First what you need is to encrypt new password with md5. If you are a beginner or don't know what is md5 click here and generate new encrypted algorithm. Copy/paste this algorithm in line 96 in counter.php.

NOTE: Don't forget chmod 666 data.txt on Linux/UNIX servers.
